About the Role
The Quality Inspector position is responsible for the measurement and approval of welded fixtures.
Duties:
Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.
Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.
Document inspection results
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and company procedures
Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task
Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency
Provide manufacturing support as required
Help maintain a clean working environment
Abilities and Skills
Must have basic blue print reading skills
Must have excellent measuring skills using tape measure, calipers, etc.
Must have a working knowledge of manufacturing welded steel products
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently
Must use Personal Protective Equipment required for Quality Inspectors
Must be able to stand continuously for long periods of time
Willing to work in excess of 40 hours a week
Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned
Education/Experience
1 year quality inspector experience in a weld manufacturing establishment preferred
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of walking/standing
Ability to lift 40lbs
Vision and depth perception suitable for inspection
Environments: production weld line, final assembly
