About the Role
The Welder I position is responsible for production welding fabricated metal products.
Duties:
Set up welding machines based on the job at hand or using a Welding Procedure Specification
MIG weld steel as directed
Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities.
Follow all company rules and policies
Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.
Follow all safety rules and quality standards
Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency
Provide manufacturing support as required
Abilities and Skills
Must be able to MIG weld to AWS standards
Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs. and stand continuously for long periods of time
Willingness to use Personal Protective Equipment required for Welders
Must have a working knowledge of manufacturing welded steel products
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently
Willing to work in excess of 40 hours a week
Education/Experience
1 year welding experience preferred but not required
